Comment : Watch out : between Creissels and the "aire de vision" (viewpoint), there are two car parks of the french federation of hang-gliding ("fédération française de vol libre"). The first one is used for landing (small blue sign "Terrain d'atterrissage à 100m"). It is NOT the starting point. The second car park situated a few kilometres higher, at the top, is used for taking off (white sign "Aire de vol libre de Brunas"). It is the starting point of the hike (photo n°1). This hike titlted "Le viaduc de Millau" (the Millau Viaduct) has three parts. During the first one, you visit the viewpoint ("aire de vision")of the Millau Viaduct , then you walk across the Larzac plateau. During the second part, you walk above, along and under the A75 motorway. This part is before the Viaduct. Unfortunately, during this hike, you will never be on, under or close to the Millau Viaduct. The last part starts by the restored farm of Bel-Air (photo n°15), then goes down and up to the Larzac plateau, to finish with the Boundoulaou cirque. The signs are quite good except for two points. At the point 2, go ahead and take not care of the arrow to the left painted on a stone (the guide book and the map are luckily very clear). A little before the motorway, there is a crossroad with a pole with one arrow to the left and one arrow to the right (photo n°12) ! Take to the right. In a nutshell, this is a very nice hike. Sometimes it is flat, sometimes hilly. The beautiful landscape is changing very often. , you will have a wonderful panorama on the town of Millau, the Larzac plateau, the Boundoulaou cirque, the Millau Viaduct (from far) and if you are lucky you will also see a praying mantis (photo n°18), a pheasant (photo n°19)...
