Comment : This hike is especially indicated for bird watchers. You will see all kind of birds like flamingos, ducks and warblers, from time to time at a very short distance. The flora is also interesting (glasswort and other typical plants). You walk between the pond the Imperial and the beach of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. The landscape is flat and a bit monotonous (it is a part of the Camargue coastline !). A perfect cycling track. You can even ride to the lighthouse La Gacholle. Include enough time to visit Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and to enjoy its charms.
