Comment : The begin of the road is marked out by houses, but very quickly the path goes in the small valley of Valrugues and climbs up to the "Plateau de la Caume" : very nice vegetation, feeling of harmony. On the highest point of the road, the rock "Deux Trous" (two holes) offers a gorgeous view on the Alpilles. The walk down to the small valley of Saint-Clerg is completely different (vegetation, traffic) but not less enjoyable. The arrival on the archaeological site of Glanum, after the crossing of little gorges is imposing. You domine the old Roman town from the place where the ancient theatre should have been (not brought to light yet). Before you go, have a look at the stone quarry, it is worth the detour. It is a quite short walk to do with friends, a nice day in spring.
