Comment : After the visit of Fontvieille, you will discover the castle of Montauban (with paid entry). You cross a nice forest before arriving at the beautiful plant of the Roman flour mill and the ruins of the Roman aqueduct. On the way back, you walk again through the forest until the Alphonse Daudet’s mill (with paid entry) and the mills of Ramet and Tissot. The signs are perfect until point 7. There, just after the Roman mill plant, there was a sign on a tree, indicating to go straight ahead, though we had to turn to the right at this point and to climb over the remains of the Roman mill to discover the ruins of the aqueduct. We advise to continue to point 6 to finish the circle. The guide advises at point 8 to return to point 6. We did not understand why, because this hike has already lots of return paths. In short : a nice and various hike with lots of interesting landmarks.
