Comment : The car park of the starting point is very easy to find. Arriving in Collias by the South, it is at 200 metres distance from the bridge over the Gardon. It is often full in summer.
The hike starts along the Gardon (possibility to swim). Then you walk through the forest to the hermitage of Collias and the Notre Dame de Laval Chapel, to continue to the Baumistat plateau with its rough herby vegetation.
On the way back, you follow the old road La Torte with the old border stones and a nice panorama on Collias and its surroundings.
« L’ermitage de Collias » is a nice hike, accessible, various and very enjoyable. The signs are perfect, except for one or two places, near the points 5 and 6. The calvary mentioned in the guide at point 2 seems to have disappeared.
