Comment : We have made this walk with our kids in the summer of 2005. It took more time than mentionned in the guidebook Le Routard and the hike was more difficult than indicated. The climb to the lake was quite difficult and we made it in 1 hour 45 min (instead of 1 hour), it took us 1 hour to get down.
Possibility to continue to the second lake, the lake of Capitello, but the children would not have followed.
In a nutshell, a superb hike which you can combine with a visit of the splendid valley of Restonica !
Practical information : car park with charge, 5 euro in 2005. Have a meal at the snack bar at the start (or arrival) of the hike, the Corsican assorted delicatessen are excellent !!!
