Comment : The starting car park is very close to the main street of the small village Liausson. It is very easy to find the more because you can see the signboard of the walk from the main road. Seen from the bottom, the ascension of the mount Liausson looks difficult for medium level hikers. In reality, you walk on a winding path and the ascension is very progressive. There is no need to be in perfect condition, even if this walk is not suitable for children. At the top, you walk on the ridge, with on your left, the Salagou lake, and on your right the dolomitic cirque of Mourrèze. These two panoramic views are both extremely beautiful. You will pass by the ruins of the Saint-Jean-d’Aureillan hermitage and the cave of Liausson. In short, the mount Liausson is a very nice medium level hike for adults with two unforgettable views.
