Comment : Nice hike of 15 kms with a difference in height of 160 m. You walk up to the plateau de Montcalmes with old stone houses, dolomite and garrigue. It is really nice. But the thing that makes this hike absolutely fantastic is the view on Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. The landscape going from the Herault river to the Pic Baudille is also fabulous.
A hike to be recommended for its view on the Hérault valley and for the Saint Sylvestre des Brousses Chapel, the hamlets of Montcalmes and Lavène as well as the new sheepfold. Take some extra time to visit Puéchabon and to admire the brigde "Pont du diable" and the gorges of the Hérault river.
