This hike of 10 km is entirely flat and very easy. There is no shade, so take lots of water and a hat !
The start is at the car park of the beach between Palavas-les-Flots and the Maguelone cathedral. Follow the beach to the west (attention: nudist beach), then you turn towards the cathedral bathing in green surroundings. Turn around, pass under the arch of Maguelone and follow the path along the "Rhône à Sète" canal. Go to Palavas and reach the car park.
The hike is just enjoyable. Much of the hike is along the road and you will cross many people on the track ! A good family walk for a sunday afternoon. To see: the lakes, the sea, the cathedral of Maguelone, the boats, the fisherman's cabins, birds, jumping fishes... and to complete the walk a visit of Palavas-les-Flots, a nice seaside resort !
If you want, you can buy some local food at the CAT-shop: fish, shellfish, wine, sweets (the "variolites" of Maguelone, delicious !).
