Comment : A very nice walk with a hard start: a stiff climb through a chestnut grove. You park on the small car park of the "Gorges de Colombières" (with charge in season). You start on a small path going up. It is well indicated with signs. During half of the hike you walk along the river which can be see sometimes. Have a break in the village made in the rocks before you go on climbing. Some parts are very slippery (to avoid when it rains), nice views on the gorges. You arrive in the nicely restored hamlet of La Fage. You pass the bridge to arrive at the other side of the river. From here on, you walk back to Colombières over the hilltops and you will discover splendid views on the gorges and the surroundings... Then you walk down following the ancient Roman road. We have been looking for holes supposed to keep water in the Roman time but did not found them. Back in Colombières-sur-Orb to pick up your car at the car park. It is a wonderful walk. I recommend !
