Comment : This walk of 9 km starts in the village of Rives (close to Villeréal in the region of Haut-Agenais-Périgord). We have done this walk a December morning in 2009. We parked between the town hall and the church of Rives.
It is a beautiful and not very difficult walk because there is not a lot of difference in height. The more, the track is very well indicated (yellow signs). We enjoyed the fresh morning breeze and the sun shining on the landscape covered with snow and ice. Spring would also be excellent for this hike which fits to children used to walking.
Some touristic highlights as the "Maison à empilage et colombage" (see photos) complete the nice scenery.
You can do this hike on horseback in 1 hour 30 minutes or by bike in 1 hour 10 minutes.
