Comment : This hike starts at a height of 1500 metres at the foot of the ski-run and goes to the top at an altitude of 1900 metres. The view on the summit is gorgeous. Two viewpoint indicators are installed. The first indicates the North and the Alps. The second indicates the Mount Canigou (part of the Pyrenees). Then you follow the crest and you will have a view on Sault and the Albion's Plateau. For the way back you take the corniche. You will walk in the undergrowth, pass on the edge of the cliff and walk between fallen rocks. On your way you will see the "trou soufflant" (the blowing hole) from which an ice cold wind blows: see the special sign in blue. The last mass of fallen rocks serves as shelter for chamois. This hike of 21 km can be cut in twice : tour 39 and 43 of the same guide book.
